Nagpur: After SpaceX and Tesla chief Elon Musk’s tweet on the Indian government went viral on social media, politicians from four states have invited Musk, asking him to set up Tesla plants in their states.

In a tweet, Musk wrote, “Still working through a lot of challenges with the government.”

Seeing the opportunity, the Telangana government offered a helping hand to the US Billionaire trying to enter the Indian market. Minister KT Rama Rao invited the Tesla chief to set up shop in the state and said that the state government will be “happy to partner Tesla in working through the challenges.”

In no time, Maharashtra minister Jayant Patil wrote to Tesla CEO on twitter, inviting him to establish the company’s plant in the state. Patil said, “.@ elonmusk, Maharashtra is one of the most progressive states in India. We will provide you all the necessary help from Maharashtra for you to get established in India. We invite you to establish your manufacturing plant in Maharashtra.”

The wooing of the states doesn’t end here. West Bengal and poll-bound Punjab also invited the automobile giant to set up his plant in their states. Punjab Congress chief Navjyot Singh Sidhu took to twitter and said, “I invite @ elonmusk, Punjab Model will create Ludhiana as hub for Electric Vehicles & Battery industry with time bound single window clearance for investment that brings new technology to Punjab, create green jobs, walking path of environment preservation & sustainable development”
