Level-4 fire breaks out in a building in Mumbai, one dead

Nagpur: A fire broke out today at One Avighna Park society in Lower Parel area in Mumbai. The level-4 fire broke out on the 19th floor of the luxurious building leaving one person dead and several others injured.

One of the videos which surfaced on social media shows a man falling from the 19th floor of the building. According to sources, the man was the security guard of the building and has been identified as 30-year-old Arun Tiwari. A senior KEM hospital official said that he was brought dead to the office.

Mumbai mayor Kishori Pedenakr along with her team reached the spot to take stock of the situation after the fire doused off. She said the fire and rescue department reached the spot as soon as they received the news. She added that one man jumped off the building in panic and cannot blame the fire department for the same.

The building is 60-storied and as many as 12 firefighting teams reached the spot to douse the massive fire. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation chief Iqbal Singh Chahal reached the spot and ordered a probe into the incident.
