NMC all set to tackle the rising cases

From January 8, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) started antigen testing at public places. As the graph of new Covid-19 cases is continuously increasing at a high rate.

Authorities are focusing on the testing of vendors, shopkeepers and staff at malls. The Free Meida spoke to health chairman of NMC Sanjay Mahajan about the current situation of covid in city in which he said, ”NMC is focusing on the testing and public places and markets and also trying to increase the number of daily testing, he also added that NMC is also looking forward to maximising vaccination of people age between 15 to18.”

The cases of omicron variant in the country are also increasing at a high rate and the threat of third wave is also increasing. Experts also predicted the peak in mid-February, while talking about the precautionary future plans of NMC, Mahajan said, ”NMC is ready to face any sort of circumstances, we have already ordered to restart the covid care centres.” Mahajan said, “As of now maximum new cases are recovering at home and the number serious cases is very is not seen yet but still in need of future if needed NMC’s medical infrastructure is also sufficient.”
