Nagpur: Just hours after getting arrested by the Maharashtra police on Tuesday, Union minister Narayan Rane was granted bail.

The minister was sent behind the bars for his ‘slap Uddhav’ statement. The police demanded a seven-day remand of Rane in the court but the court granted bail to the union minister.

In the latest, after getting bail, Rane took to Twitter and tweeted “Satyamev Jayate,” which means truth will always win.

Not just this, the newly-elected union minister’s son Nitesh Rane posted a clip of ‘Rajneeti’ movie in which actor Manoj Bajpayee is seen saying ‘Karara jawaab milega.’

Rane’s lawyer cites his health issues and also claimed that wrong sections have been imposed by the Maharashtra police against the union minister. He also added that the reasons for arrest and investigation are not justified.

For the first time in the state, a serving union minister has been arrested by the police.

Before getting arrested, Rane’s team moved to the Bombay High court seeking stay on his arrest.

Rane was arrested while he was having lunch in Ratnagiri. The union minister was in the city for his political rally.
