Nagpur: West Bengal chief minister Banerjee has landed in Goa, trying to make a place in the heart of Goans by aggressively campaigning ahead of Goa Polls which are due in February 2022.

Tennis star Leander Paes, Bollywood actress Nafisa Sodhi Ali and Mrinalini Deshprabhu join Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) in presence of party chief Banerjee in Goa.

“We are elated to share that Nafisa Ali and Mrinalini Deshprabhu have joined the Goa Trinamool Congress family today in the presence of our Hon’ble Chairperson @MamataOfficial. We wholeheartedly welcome both leaders!,” tweeted TMC.

Banerjee is expected to stay in Goa and interact with the locals and the fishermen community there. Didi is all set for a temple run later during the day. Post that, the chief minister is expected to interact with Civil Society members at 5:45pm in International central Goa.

According to the press note released by the TMC, on October 24, just ahead of Banerjee’s visit, nearly 300 people joined the party in different events which took place in Panaji, Navelim and Sangeum.

Banerjee’s visit also comes after union home minister Amit Shah visited Goa the second week of October. As per sources, Shah held rounds of meetings and even reviewed several developmental projects in the union territory.
