Jet fuel, commercial LPG cylinder price hiked, no change in prices of petrol and diesel

Nagpur: The jet fuel price was hiked by two per cent today, for the seventh time this year taking the price to an all-time high.

As per a price notification by the state-owned fuel retailers, Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) was hiked by ₹ 2,258.54 per kilolitre, or two per cent, to ₹ 1,12,924.83 per kl in the national capital. Jet fuel prices are revised on the 1st and 16th of every month based on the average international price of benchmark fuel in the preceding fortnight.

In another development, National Oil Marketing companies increased commercial 19-kg LPG cylinder cost by Rs 250, effective from today (April 1). The LPG cylinder will cost Rs 2,253 in Delhi, as per ANI. In the last two months, the price of 19-kg LPG cylinder price hiked by Rs 346/ cylinder. On March 1, the rate of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was increased by Rs 105 and then on March 22, its price was reduced by Rs 9.

However, today there was no rise in the prices of petrol and diesel. The prices of the fuel have been increased by almost Rs 8 in the last 11 days, causing unrest to the common man.
