Nagpur: Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday said that he was a ‘Sevak’ of the state and his government was committed to the development of Maharashtra as well as its citizens.

Shinde also claims that the decisions being taken by the current government should’ve been taken two and a half years back but since it did not happen, 50 MLAs have united and decided to take a stand. The statement comes hours after former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray announced that Sena will be extending support to NDA’s presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu.

The newly-elected chief minister on Tuesday also directed the administration to widen the scope of the incentive scheme for farmers who have not defaulted on their crop loans. He also added that some of the clauses under schemes were too strict and should be watered down.
