Nagpur: A major sigh of relief for the business, hotels and restaurant owners as Collector Vimala R on Saturday stated that shops, restaurants and hotels can operate as per their normal timings.
The collector further stated that all establishments including salons, waterparks and multiplexes can operate as per their normal timings but with 50 per cent occupancy. However, occupancy cap on marriages and other social gatherings events remains the same—25 per cent or 200 people, whichever remains lesser.
Collector Vimala, earlier this week had hinted that all the restrictions in the district would be lifted soon.
Earlier, restaurants and other establishments were allowed to operate till 10pm due to a rise in the daily Covid-19 cases. The relaxations of the restrictions come after there was a sudden decline in the daily cases despite high testing. As per government norms, relaxations can’t be given in cities where the vaccine percentage is less than 70. Nagpur’s vaccination figures have already crossed 70 per cent.
