Nagpur: War of words continues between the MahaVikasAghadi (MVA) and the BJP. Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday said that few people at high posts have been making unnecessary comments and the comments were not acceptable to the people of the state.

Pawar took a jibe at Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Pune’s MIT ground to inaugurate various development projects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too, was present during the event. While addressing the event, the Maharashtra minister said, “I want to bring one thing to the prime minister’s notice. Of late, some people holding important positions are making unnecessary comments which are not acceptable to Maharashtra and its citizens.”

This development comes after Koshiyari during a programme in Aurangabad on Sunday said, “Many chakravarti’s (emperors), maharajas took birth on this land. But, who would have asked about Chandragupta had there not been Chanakya? Who would have asked about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had there not been Samarth (Ramdas).

Not just leaders from the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government, but even the BJP leaders objected to the governor’s remark claiming that Samarth Ramdas was the guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
