Nagpur: After reports doing rounds claimed that Reliance Industries Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani and family are moving to the United Kingdom, the company on Friday issued a statement stating that the reports are ‘baseless.’

The company in a statement said, “A recent report in a newspaper has led to unwarranted and baseless speculation in social media regarding the Ambani family’s plans to partly reside in Stoke Park, London.” The company further added that Ambani and family have no plans whatsoever to relocate or reside in London or anywhere else in the world.

Further clarifying about the acquired 300-acre country club in Buckinghamshire, Stoke Park, the company said that the acquisition of the heritage property is aimed at enhancing this as a ‘premier golfing and sporting resort.’

The company added, “This acquisition will add to the fast-growing consumer business of the group. Simultaneously, it will also expand the footprint of India’s famed hospitality industry globally.”

The Ambani’s currently reside in a 4,00,000 square feet residence called ‘Antilia,’ in Mumbai, Maharashtra. There were reports stating that after acquiring the grand property in the United Kingdom, the Ambanis will be shifting there permanently.
