Tesla hikes its ‘Full Self-Driving’ software price to $12,000

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced on January 8, that the company will raise its price of Full Self-Driving (FSD) to $12,000 and will be applied on January 17.

Musk stated that, “FSD price will rise as we get closer to FSD production code release”. Adding to this, he also responded to a twitter follower, that the monthly subscription price of $199 will rise when the FSD software gets a wide release.

As per the past records, Tesla has raised the price of FSD software several times and has notified to increase the price as software gets more closer to its Full Self-Driving capability. The expected future final price to be $100,000 as per the Business reports.

The current features of the software offer the ability to automatically change lanes, enter and exit highways, recognize stop signs along with traffic lights.
