Nagpur: A man in Thane was administered anti-rabies vaccination instead of Covid-19 at a medical centre in the district. According to the civic official, the doctor and the nurse of the medical facility have been suspended.
The resident identified as Rajkumar Yadav went to the civic-run medical centre in the Kalwa areas of Thane on Monday to get the Covid-19 jab. According to Thane Municipal corporation officials, Yadav stood in the wrong queue after being vaccinated and he was then informed that he was administered the rabies vaccine.
The official added that the man is doing fine and no complications have been reported as of now. Yadav then complained to the authorities and based on a preliminary enquiry, the woman doctor who was in charge of the centre and the nurse were suspended due to the major goof up.
