As part of Amrit Mahotsav, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Embassy of India, celebrated the event ‘Mahatma ko Naman’ on October 2nd at The Gandhi Centre in The Hague.

Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat and Shruti Rawat, Director of Gandhi Cultural Centre Shiv Mohan Singh and Arti Singh along with embassy officials, paid floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

The Embassy organised a number of activities this year to conclude the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. These include Gandhi March on ‘Peace and Non-Violence’, speeches, singing a Ram Dhun and another event today.

To mark International Day of Non-Violence, volunteers reached out to many schools in the Netherlands in a ‘Follow the Mahatma’ campaign and talked about Mahatma Gandhi’s message of non-violence and its relevance in today’s world.
