World Hindi Day 2022 celebrated globally

World Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 since 2006 to promote the language at the global stage.

The day marks the anniversary of the first World Hindi Conference which was inaugurated on January 10, 1975, by the then prime minister Indira Gandhi.

The first World Hindi Day conference was organised on January 10, 1975, in Nagpur, a city in the state of Maharashtra.

It is celebrated across the world to promote the use of the Hindi language. 

However, the celebration of first World Hindi Day was commenced on 10 January 2006 by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Honble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi wrote letter that, hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the people across the globe and Hindi lovers on ‘World Hindi Day’. Leading among the richest languages of the world, Hindi is a symbol of our national unity. It gives us a sense of unity in diversity.

On the other hand, On the occasion of World Hindi Day 2022, a video message shared via twitter by Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs Minakshi Lekhi said, “Today the world has shrunk from global to local with information technology, the Internet and trade. Hindi is connecting the youth of the world in these three places. This youth power is the strong ambassador of Hindi. My congratulatory message to all Hindidoots on the occasion of World Hindi Day.”

The contribution of the people engaged in the promotion of Hindi language across the world has been commendable and remarkable. It is hoped that it will be celebrated with more gaiety on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi.”

World Hindi conferences were started with the aim of popularizing Hindi language in the globe and getting it recognized as an international language.
